ForintNow: HUF Converter Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This policy explains how ForintNow: HUF Converter handles information in the current public version. It is specific to this app and should be read together with Apple’s platform privacy information.
Controller and contact
The developer is responsible for this app. Questions and privacy requests: support.
Information handled by the app
ForintNow stores preferences, cached rates, favorites, history and travel budgets on your device. When iCloud is available, favorites, history and budgets sync through your private CloudKit database. Widgets share rates, favorites and Premium validity with the app through an App Group container. The developer does not receive this data or use advertising or cross-app tracking. The optional scanner recognizes text on your device with VisionKit; it does not save or send images to the developer or the exchange-rate provider. Support correspondence is used to answer your request.
Permissions
The app may ask for the following Apple system permissions only when the related feature is used:
- Camera — capture content you choose inside the app.
Purchases
Optional purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. The developer receives transaction status and product entitlement information needed to unlock features, not your full payment-card details. You can manage subscriptions in iOS Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.
Notifications
The app does not schedule user notifications in the audited feature set.
External services and recipients
The app requests functional data from: European Central Bank (ECB) public exchange-rate API over HTTPS, Apple StoreKit and private iCloud/CloudKit. Those requests may expose standard network information such as IP address to the provider. No advertising or cross-app tracking SDK was identified. Apple separately processes App Store, iCloud and operating-system services under its own terms.
Retention
Local data remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. Private iCloud copies remain until deleted through the app with sync available or through iCloud settings. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to answer the request and meet applicable legal obligations.
Delete your data
Delete favorites, history or budgets using the app controls. Deletions sync when iCloud is available. Manage private iCloud data in your Apple account settings. Uninstalling removes the app's local container but does not necessarily delete private iCloud copies or cancel subscriptions. Revoke camera access in Settings; manual conversion remains available.
Your choices
Revoke camera, microphone, photos, location or Face ID access at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security (or the app’s Settings page). Denying a permission affects only the feature that needs it. You may contact the developer to ask about support correspondence or exercise applicable privacy rights.
Children
The app is not designed to collect personal information from children. The developer does not knowingly build profiles of children or use targeted advertising.
Changes
This policy will be updated when app features, permissions or integrated services materially change. The date above identifies the current version of the notice.
